Last night I remembered the existence of short animation *Draw with Me* and was like dude what was up with that ending. Like I understand what happened but I'm not sure how I was meant to feel about it. Like from what I remember my initial reaction was aww she gave him her hand though later viewings after reading some comments were like did she literally mutilate herself so the boy she likes won't be the only one drawing with his non-dominant hand? Isn't that going a bit too far? I guess I wasn't sure how seriously to take the arm removal since it was a cute animation of a dogboy and a catgirl communicating through a glass wall in a largely featureless void.
In retrospect I wonder if it was supposed to be one of those cute animations with a dark twist or if the arm thing was supposed to be a romantic act of self-sacrifice.
My reaction to remembering it last night in my half asleep state was cute but cutting off your arm for love is okay is a bad message to send and then draw with me yookim AU with Yoo Jonghyeok as the dogboy and Kim Dokja as the catgirl (or catboy in this case). I mean Kim Dokja does have a track record of traumatizing his loved ones with his heroic self-sacrifices and Yoo Jonghyeok is the sort to punch through a glass wall out of frustration.
